Moderna Museet

Swedish acquisitions 2021

Swedish-English edition. Published September 2024.

In early 2021, Moderna Museet was allocated an extra 25 million kronor in state funding for the acquisition of art to support the Swedish art scene during the pandemic. The acquisitions took place throughout 2021.

Volume 22

Created and published remotely in 2020 during the onset of the pandemic with the help of a dedicated team. The cover art is a detail from Micah Lomel’s Shower Chair.

Volume 21

The cover photo, Bargaining, by filmmaker and videographer Shannon Sutherland, is part of a greater body of work, more of which can be found within the magazine’s pages.

Volume 53 Issue 2

Published in 2017. Cover image was taken by Michael Nguyen, who, along with contributing his presence and photography, designed several issues of P’an Ku, including this one.

Volume 54 Issue 1

Published in 2017. The cover art, Mother Afroca, is by Girain Andrews. This issue collected eight total awards at the FCSAA annual conference, with first-place awards in photography and cover design.
