Writer-in-residence

Harn Museum of Art, 2019 – 2020
Working closely with poet and artist, Debora Greger, as well as with the Assistant Curator of Asian Art, I composed haiku, renga, and sijo in collaboration with the art displayed in the Harn’s Tempus Fugit and Everyday to the Extraordinary exhibitions, which were performed at a Gallery Talk on February 2020, and remained on display in the Asian Wing.
The museum held its first-ever virtual Museum Nights on October 2020, during which I had the opportunity to teach viewers about poetry.
I educated peers and visitors alike about poetry throughout my residency as well, helping build audience engagement, of course, but also finding new moments to spark joy in the museum environment.
